As I have stated before, I have been thru the RCIA program about 2 years ago without taking the final step. See, I am a divorcee. And I would have to have this Tribunal thing and I wasnt ready for that. Not with all the digging in my past. I had some legal issues that would have been dug through and thought it was none of their business to see. And my ex would have made me look like the Devil himself.
I guess it is the unknowing what frightens some of us “candidates” off. That and the time issue. I have heard that some get their marriage annulled by the Church in a matter of months where as others have waited years. Years? I better stop there, this time issue and questions will be another blog some other time.
May God bless you all as he has blessed me.

Taking the RCIA class was one of the most historical and faith building classes I have ever taken. It is my opinion that all Catholics should take this class. I know that a lot of Catholics are “born” into the faith and when they attend Mass, it is a going thru the motions ordeal. Whereas, as a graduate of the RCIA classes, you know the why, where and the why on all the things that are done during a Mass. It has more of a personal meaning. No, I mean that that is truly a personal experience now. Even if one does not come from another faith, I think that I will try and get my “born” into the faith Catholics to attend the class or at least some of the classes. They can learn so much, they will learn things that they never knew and say to themselves - Oh, that is why we do that. God bless all the Instructors and the Sponsors that give their time to us Newbies!

Welcome to my Cathopologist.com blog. This blog is going to be my personal journal on my views and/or questions that I have on becoming a Catholic. And once I do become one, I will continue to write on how I am growing deeper in the faith. Please feel free to join me in this life long journey.
